GRNC had a link where you could send an email to ALL of the School Board which is what I did. I said the area superintendent and the principal should lose their jobs. I also made mention of how students participating in shooting sports tend to be more responsible and get better grades than the rest of the student body.

Here is what they posted:

Dear Board Member:

The recent legally questionable decision to bar the marksmanship and
orienteering team of the FFA from competing in their designated sport is
ill-founded and must be reconsidered. Those officials, superintendent
and principals, intent on flouting the state law allowing firearms
education in public schools, must be held accountable.

One wonders what the public reaction would be had these officials barred
the football team from a tournament due to a personal dislike of
sporting balls. I will be watching actions related to this matter
closely and will base future voting decisions on your handling of this
matter.

Sincerely,
A Concerned Voter
