I've been trying for years to catch this guy when I had my camera handy.
Today he pulled up outside my window  ;D

Is it a true steamer, or one of Stanley's gas-powered rigs?

Doesn't really matter, as a "green" car it probably put out more pollution in a day than you car does in a month!  ;D

It's a steamer, I did not think to ask what he burned in it.
I know the Duryea was a gas fired steamer it's selling point over the Stanley was that it was gas fired so when you started it it would build up steam much faster than the Stanley.

I had a boss who I asked what he'd written his masters thesis on....his reply; "The steam engine!"

My response;  "Boy, you see a lot of those on the roads these days!"   ;D

I miss him, he was the best boss I've ever had in 35 years in the business!  Like most who know their shit, the company pooped on him so he walked!  I'd have worked for him for the rest of my life...
