When shooting clays with a premounted gun I look at the beads to make sure they are lined up right.
After that
marry yourself to the target never giving the gun a second thought (or glance).
When you overthink it, you'll miss.
Every time!
The hard part is when you're clean through the round and reach in to grab a shell and realize you only have 2 left.
That's when focus on the shot, not the total outcome, becomes
really important.
