And with the interchangeable barrels to be able shoot .40 out of the thing, you have cheaper and more HD appropriate caliber to shoot as well. Plus, a Glock is a whole lot cheaper than a DE. If I were five years younger or a little richer, I'd be looking hard at the news about interchangeable barrels. But I won't. Really, I won't.

So, why not go for a .40S&W?

S&W=Short and Weak.  All with a nasty little recoil impulse.   

I've owned two.  Both H&K USPs one was a compact.  Don't think I'll ever own another H&K but I may do the 40 in a STI for USPSA Limited or Open.
