Cop impersonators robbing people were actually cops

This country is getting more screwy by the day....

Police sergeants arrested after allegedly robbing men in Detroit

DETROIT (WJBK) -
A Good Samaritan snapped photos of what appeared to be two men impersonating police officers involved in a pistol-whipping and robbery outside a Citgo gas station on Detroit's east side on July 21.
Once Fox 2 aired those photos, an even more disturbing picture developed.
 
"Several unidentified police officers were working this particular robbery case, recognized one of the suspects in the photographs as being a member of the Detroit Police Department,"

Just my $.02,  when a leo commits a violent felony, it should be a capitol case.  It hurts the public trust so badly that it can take generations for it to be repaired., i don't care what the unions say, they should not even be allowed a union.   i also think that if you are a leo and don't report another Leo commiting said crime, you should get life in prison.  Covering it up, should be a captiol crime as well.   after the 1st few are excuted( which should be no more then 2 years on death row, ideally take them out back and shoot them) it will stop, atleast for awhile, then all it takes is a few more.   in the 70s there was a sheriff in little rock, i forget his name, anyways they had an issue with armed robberys of 711s.  So he got on all the air waves stating they will have under cover cops in them, with orders to shoot on sight.  They killed a few the 1st week.  They did not have an armed robbery for about a year.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

If you want to get more ticked off read some of the comments in that story.  Several people blaming Detroit because they do not pay the cops enough so that's why they have to rob people.

Go to New Orleans some time.  You need to keep an eye on the cops on the street just like the hoodlums...one-in-the-same to some extent.  You need to avoid street cops there just like you would avoid a standard "bad guy" in the Best Defense.

Any color of cop is liable to shake you down in NO.  There was a telephone scam on tourists a few years back where a cop would scream at some woman on the phone and make threats.  Of course...the poor woman would be shocked and scared about going to jail for her "crime" of stealing a poor boy's cell phone.  Of course...if she could work it out with the poor lad she could avoid jail time.  The negotiations with the child, usually between the years of 8 and 11, would go something like this, "Give me $50 bitch."

No surprise here.
Back in the late 60's or early 70's  a news channel did a report on police corruption in Detroit.
Cops were showing up at store robberies and loading up their cruisers with butts, booze, etc that the original thieves didn't get.
They even loaded up when they knew camera's were on them.
