The example in John Ross' Unintended Consequence that I consistently cite to people at Gun Shows, I volunteer for Oregon Firearms Federation as a membership representative, is the Warsaw Ghetto.  20 poorly armed Jews facing imminent death put up more of a fight than the entire Polish Army keeping the German Army at bay for a month.

The US has a problem fighting insurgencies, every modern standing army does, so imagine if 20 poorly armed, unsupported Jews can keep a Super power at bay, what could a fraction of a percentage of the 100 million, say 500,000 well armed citizens, do to poorly led Federal Police force-DHS?

Ill-considered is being generous.  We need to hem in these mental midgets before they get us all killed.

BTW "Old Hippie" was one of those songs that opened my eyes and helped shed a little light of understanding to those around me.  Love it...

Magoo has a great point. Also consider, as MB said in the podcast, that these are likely to be the most hardcore of the gun culture. These will not be poorly trained, and poorly equipped peasants. These guys are likely to be defending all OUR rights with the best weapons and training available. Because that's what they do.

God grant that I may not be found wanting,
that I will not fail this sacred trust.
