HB-60 was signed into law back on Wednesday. I am surprised this isn't already liked up here.

It's a big win!  Yay!

There was as thread about this bill as it was going through the motions.....

It is a good win for gun rights in Georgia, even after some of the language got partially watered down in committees (the section about churches having to 'opt in' for CCW on church property)....... I really like how after the Senate committee tried to pare down the original House Bill, the House did an end-run and tacked the whole thing to another bill (HB-60) that had already went through the Senate committee.  :D

All in all, it is a WIN for gun owners, and CCW in particular.

Now we need to keep pushing for Constitutional Carry.  ;)

Happy it was signed!

Enjoy reading and poking the "Blood Will Run In The Streets" crowd, and those who equate legally carrying a firearm where alcohol is served with legally carrying and using while falling down drunk.

Disappointed in the fact the Bill leaves too many intrusive restrictions in place.

Overall it is a win.  However, it is only one game in a very long season, so don't treat this as the Super Bowl or game seven of the World Series.

Exactly.  A big improvement, but we're no where near Vermont or Arizona.

Don't know how much news of the FedEx shooting made it to where you are, but people are trying to blame the new law for the shooting.

Two major problems.  The new law doesn't take affect until 7/1, and it doesn't impact this facility.
