BACKGROUND: In N. Ga. a local sheriff shot his girl friend in what appears to be an accident. Seems she, a realtor, was holding an open house and when there weren't any visitors, he was giving her lessons on self-defense tactics. As soon as he shot her, he called 911, but following the sage advice given here and elsewhere, refused to talk to investigators or give a statement. (wise move) She's still in very serious condition and hasn't given a statement either.
SO: Today's article said they found a FAKE TRAINING GUN.
Investigators recovered multiple guns as well as a fake training gun from the empty model home where police said a Georgia sheriff shot and critically wounded a woman, according to law enforcement documents.
Would a fake training gun then be a real gun? I wonder if this is the same one as the blue, plastic one they found?
Anyway, he's vowed to stay on the job and is currently only indicted for reckless conduct and is free on $2,950 bond.
