Chuckle of the day from the Brady Bunch

I'm on Dan Gross's mailing list.  He's the President of the Brady Center to Prevent Handgun Violence better known as the Brady Bunch.   At least to me.  Handgun Control, Inc was there former name.

So the latest email was subject "19 Million Strong".    The email was about their ASK campaign, the one where you're suppose to ask if there are guns in the house before you let your kid go over and play.   The only reference to this number in the email is this little gem,

"We’re already 19 million households strong and counting—let’s keep getting our message out."

  By digging a little on there web site is seems they somehow pulled this number out of their, uh, atmosphere of 19 million parents are ASKing the question.

But, to me, the email subject line and the quote makes it appear that the Brady Campaign has 19million supporters, not that they've duped 19 million +/- 19 million, people with the ASK campaign. 

 Trying to hype their importance I guess.

Just went and trolled them .
One comment complimenting the success of background checks in Chicago and SC.
In exchange I found out their FB page has 97 thousand likes.

I wonder how many of them are non-supporter just keeping their enemies close?

I don't like them on FB because I don't want to inflate their importance.  I'm just on their email list.
