Revenue for Africa: Hunting vs Ecotourism

Can anyone provide me with a source of information on this topic? Lately I've read some claims that seem preposterous regarding the greater value of ecotourism and, thus, the inconsequential value of big game hunting in Africa. Seems like propaganda, but in searching for facts I've come up short. Any help?

I don't know about financial aspects, but ecotourism has not put a speck of meat in any Africans cook pot. Hunters on the other hand contribute whole animals.

They're not incompatible.  It's not a choice.   A country can have sightseers and hunters.

Okay I understand some eco-tourist might not want to go to a country that allows hunting.  They could organize a strick and withhold tourist dollars.  But I don't think there is a whole country that doesn't allow hunting in some form, is there?
