None of the others are acceptable mostly for their weakness on gun rights, illegal immigration, or both.
Carson is a damned phone who is tailoring his message to reflect poll results. It's one thing to as Trump, evolve your position over 20 years but Carson has done it in a lot less than that and it was based solely on public reaction.

Hi;

     When this all started, I was looking for a Walker/Rubio ticket to lead the way.  Trump is going to find a way to drop out after he realizes that he freedom,privacy and corporate deals will be gone.

     So, I now hope for a Rubio/Kasich Ticket. I believe that they will hold the Conservative values and get this Country back to it's place in the world and solve our fiscal problems. They can get the young vote and sway some current young Dem's to vote for our side this time around.

     Cruz is a good person - but he just reminds me of being too obsessed with himself or his Ideas.

     Bush is too wimpy , Allen West is great - but not presidential to me.

     The rest may be just looking for a future job in someone else's administration. Huckabee will go back to his Saturday night Fox gig ( I miss it ).

Rubio and Kasich both support illegal immigration and amnesty.
Any one who is unwilling to secure the border of a country is not fit to be a citizen, let alone leader of that nation .
Look at a map, any map. What is the absolute most basic defining feature of ANY state or nation ?
It's shape, if you are not willing to maintain THAT you aren't worth much to your country.

Kasich is a BIG GUBMINT man.  He's the governor of the state I live in.  I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.  Pro ObamaCare (expanded medicaid), supports common core, is only pro 2A when it gets him points with the base, he won't attempt restraints, but he won't promote rights outright.  I don't sense any moral fiber in the man.

Cruz, while he has an ego the size of Texas, has led the fight to restrain gubmint.  Rand Paul, is weak on defense and foreign policy.  They might make a decent ticket, with Rand on the undercard.
