[I mean we had a Before We Vote... thread]
Share your experiences. BTB, I vote at a Synagogue. When you read below you'll see why that might be important.
Voted at 9:30 on Tuesday. Extended a hearty "good morning" to all the poll workers. Filled out the form and got it 100% right. Alway feels good to ace a test. Spent 10 minutes catching up on the latest news from our block with my next door neighbor, a poll worker. Took 15 seconds out of my busy social life to vote. Would have taken only 5 seconds but reading and answering that question about, "Can you read this, now?" Took more time than the actual vote. Spent 10 minutes talking with the Sheriff Deputy on guard at the door. She misled me and said it was normal for deputies to be on duty. "Strange," I told her as I'd never seen one before, but she assured me one had been there every Election Day. She lied. Found out from another precinct captain that deputies are only posted where problems are expected. Darn, I should have hung around my precinct for the excitement. I needed a nap after all that hard work.
