New member of the family
« on: August 31, 2008, 10:30:56 PM »
Meet the newest member of the family stemming from the podcast March 5, '07 when Michael discussed his want to add a major caliber battle rifle to his collection, most notably the greatest rifle ever designed, the M-1 Garand. I picked this up at the Camp Perry CMP store this past Friday and she sings like a bird. Or at least Booms like some kind of lead slingin' bird!

Congratulations, and welcome to the forum. Great looking Garand. Always glad to see these rifles still available and given a good home.

Love the last round "ping". Watch that thumb, and enjoy.

Thanks for posting pics.

Good shooting.

That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

THAT is a beautiful Garand... exactly like the one I will get some day when the funding and the authorizations come in. I've always wanted one. Enjoy.

Sweet!  A fine addition to your family!
