Yeah...yeah...long time, no hear.  I know.  But given recent events I figured it would be worth posting again.

I got to do an exchange trip for about 3 weeks in what was then West Germany.  We got to spend a few nights, maybe a week in West Berlin.

I got to see East Berlin and East Germany.

Here are a few pics:

What we were not allowed to take pictures of was this:

I have no doubt in my mind that socialists want the same here in the US.

You are absolutely correct.
They have emotional visions of peace love and unicorn farts.
But the actual results are what was visible in East Berlin,
or Dachau.

Soros hasn't thrown in the towel and neither have the rest of the globalist/progressive/semi-communists/semi-socialists/totalitarian big wigs.  They will not go peacefully with the election as the things they've constructed, like the global warming farce intended to fatten their pockets, are dismantled.  I think we can expect 80's European style protests against constructive legislation that improves the human condition sponsored by the "big wigs" with the big wallets.

Note I said semi.  These people, I believe, are not like a Stalin who rules a country and longs for more conquests...they rule hearts and minds with lies across borders longing for conquests and obtain their positions with bribery and get rich schemes shared with politicians who do operate inside political boundaries.  The final game is the same power and wealth and absolute rule over the masses who allow it.
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

Somewhere in my archives I have pictures of my trip to Berlin in '66.   I was hosted for a week by a local family.  I didn't appreciate that it had only been 20 years since the hostilities of WWII ended.  I did the 2 hour bus tour of East Berlin.  Very scary to an 18yo.

We still have a small chunk of the Berlin wall in our book case.

Another retirement bucklist thing, to digitize all our photographs.

Make no bones about it.  These people want to control every facet, every minutia detail of our lives.

In the 1980's, I remember hearing about the Soviet Union's inability to provide even the basic necesseties like toilet paper to the masses.

I would not be surprised if American socialists would love to see the same kind of lines just to exert control over people.

We've seen how they like to manipulate the markets and artificially create short supplies.

Under capitalism the baker has lines of bread, under communism/socialism there are lines for bread..

under communism every Russian carried a bag or briefcase of some sort in case they found something for sale, meat, veggies, shoes, (size didn't matter).
