She may have "only" given those Troops a couple of meals but I think others will agree that those "couple of meals" have meaning FAR beyond her understanding. To the Troops involved, and the ones who will hear about it from them it means people really DO care about them, perhaps they will remember when they are pinned down in an open sewer by a sniper, or when they begin to feel forgotten as they hold a Memorial service for a Buddy who died in some dusty 3rd world shithole. To older Vets it means that our sons and grandsons will not have to wait 20 years for the respect they EARNED.
And to those with no direct connection to the Armed Forces it is a reminder that those Troops are ALL our Sons and Daughters.
