lol, I'm relaxed. You are telling the truth..the trigger does have to be pulled for disassembly. However, any good gunowner (a smart, responsible, and owners-manual-reading person) should ensure that the gun is unloaded. And it wouldn't and shouldn't matter if the trigger has to be pulled for dissassembly or not. Regardless of Glock, Mossberg, or potato gun .. or whatever.. you have to be responsible enough to do it the right way. I mean if someone gets "ran-over by a car", do you say that the car's gas pedal design creates a situation that "does not help" or makes it easier to run-over someone? If the car is used properly etc.. then it's not a problem.. and Glock (and others who have a trigger-dissassembly procedure) are no different. Do it the right way.. and there is not a problem. And btw..it is okay if you or anyone else wanted to slam Glock.  I wouldn't complain if one disagreed or didn't like them.. just as long as they are being honest and truthful in what they are saying. I understand that some do not share my same opinion and excitement for them. And that is okay... I love em' though and so far I have shot thousands and thousands of trouble-free rounds.. and dissassembled and reassemble them safely.. many times over.. it can be done lol.

As I've said many times, the only thing I don't like about Glocks (and this applies to ALL striker fired or DA only pistols) is the trigger pull, but this is purely personal as most of my pistol shooting has been SA, 1911 style or SA/DA revolvers in SA mode, that prejudice aside I actually have LIKED the Glocks I've tried.  Also, that Mossy bolt .410 I mentioned was the first gun I owned, so I'm used to making SURE the chamber is empty.

This reminds me of that Darwin guy that posted about his injury with his 1911 a while back. I hope the injury isn't as bad and I think we're all glad that he didn't hit his daughter.

Yes, I thought of that as well. (If you read this Darwin, I hope you are back up to snuff. You have provided us with a great teaching tool.) Based on what I read in this article, it seems that his injuries were nearly identical to Darwins.

So this Police Chief was teaching his daughter about gun safety when he "oopsed"?  I'll bet THAT was a memorable lesson for her!!  I can hear it now.........."Now sweetheart.......groan......remember........groan......do as daddy says, not as he does......groan........now please have mommy call 911!"

I think the lesson was over and he was cleaning up , but it DOES remind one of the DEA professional, "I'm the only one in this room with training to handle.. BANG.."

did he say " I am the only one in the room professional enough to have a..."   

Really there is no excuse for this... what ticks me off is had he been working in the private sector or had been a CCW holder.  He would most likly be fired/ lic revoked and charged.  Since he was "professional"  he will just get razzed about it.  NDs should = your fired, right then and there.
