Got to disagree MB, You can't make a gun out of chipped flint.  ;D Funny part of it is that before they started using lasers Eye surgeons were using scalpels with FLINT blades because they take a sharper edge than steel.

They still make obsidian scalpels and nothing is sharper. If you're operated on with one of them, the scar will be smaller than the scar from a surgical steel blade.
