A conundrum?
« on: January 31, 2009, 12:00:07 AM »
I want to buy something before you can't buy anyything, but not having much money and so many choices; what to do?
With all the new repro Smiths out do I buy a new model 15 22?  I already have a K 22 masterpiece.  Do I get another 22 aoutoloader even though I have one already? I do know I will trade my Kahr K-9 for a Browning High Power.  Or may another 1911.  How bout a new Smith 22 in 45 ACP? Or one of the new 4 inch 41 magnums. I fondled a H&K tactical shot gun that I am in lust with, but is a little pricey.  Maybe I should just go nuts and get a Bushmaster 450, or 50 Beowolf.

I need somebody to sponsor me for about 6 grand so I can get them all.  What I did do was lay away a nice 1903 hammerless pocket Colt in nickle with real pearl grips.  As for the rest, how do I decide?

Limited funds ? SKS, adjustable Fibreforce stock and ammo. Brass cased US manufacture will be considerably more expensive than import steel cased, but more agreeable to reloading.
My  $.02

Stick with ammo (caliber), that will be available (whatever the future holds), 9mm, 45ACP, .357, .223 etc,..

H&K Tactical is nice, but a Rem 870 Tactical, even a Rem 1100 Marine Magnum will be cheaper.

50 Beowulf could end up a safe queen, ammo is high going higher, and parts and service???

41 Magnum, obscure caliber, which justifies astronomical ammo prices.

Tax refunds come around this time of year, (for some) :-\,  if this applies to you, test drive some models if you can at a range, ask yourself why do I need a 50 Beowulf. ( I want an Aston Martin but I need my Nissan) type questions.

Also just my .02 cents...
Good Luck, let us know and post some pics of the pocket Colt... (Pearl grip gun porn is sexy) 8)

That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
