Deut 32; for what It's Worth...
« on: April 15, 2009, 06:54:09 PM »
Offering it; for what it's worth:

http://tinyurl.com/lyodb link to Deuteronomy 32
http://tinyurl.com/d68gmk link to just one of many commentaries, this one Matthew Henry.

If I didn't love my fellow Americans, and wasn't concerned for our collective mutual prosperity I'd not even consider posting this - but I do love and care for my fellow Americans and want to see us prosper and not succumb to tyranny such as is being deployed all around us...

What happened to Israel in the OT - is, if we're honest with the man/woman in the mirror, are each one as individuals guilty of doing exactly the same things wrong Israel had done wrong...thusly, I see Deuteronomy 32 is appropriate for America, and people the world over, for such a confusing time as this is we're now living in...

God's rich blessing on you all...

Bullseye
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.
-William Pitt, British Prime-Minister (1759-1806)

Deut. 32 is a heavy chapter. Lots of things that can lead one to believe that God can be vengeful for a Godless or ungrateful people.

I see the parallel's in our current country's direction.

"America is broken because the american family is broken. We can't run our own families and we expect to run an entire country? It's time to put the Lord back in the driver's seat. We cheat on our wives, fall into drugs, are abusive, unfaithful, unloving, etc. yet we (think we can) teach our kids to grow up and be faithful, sober, loving, slow to anger? This country is falling apart at the seams because the american family is falling apart at the seams...What this country needs more than anything right now is a revival of the Spirit and the family."

Thank you for the post.
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

Thank you Vin, we need to repent or we will perish.

When you reject God, you reject the protection He provides....and America as a nation has done that for a long time....

OK, faithful....let's get ready for the bumpy ride....everybody get into the praying position....
Why, yes....I'm the right-wing extremist Obama warned you about... ;D

I just wish Texas was as free and independent as everyone thinks it is...   :'(

God's rich blessings on those with kindred spirits regarding the state of affairs we find ourselves as a nation under...God often using, as you've all indicated you all understand via your comments you clearly understand, the evil and the wicked around us to correct us and bring us into a closer walk with Him first and foremost - and out of that we're better fathers, mothers, sons and daughters...better citizens with the kind respectful moral bearings that make for a peaceful society in which we kindly police ourselves for the right reasons - and thus making null and void the whole concept of a police state needful to police the masses who cannot and will not police themselves in and of themselves as an amoral people throughout human history proves as true...

...if I had one caveat to offer Mr. Alex Jones, it'd be to stay humble realizing he's limited as we all are - as well as not to tirelessly work against the global government without acknowledging more and more that we're not fighting against flesh and blood - such as the devil/enemy wants to use as much as does God in advancing their respective kingdoms (one for good for time honored reasons - the other for evil toward our collective destruction) - and can't do this work on emotion alone; which I think Mr. Jones demonstrates often...

Regardless...thanks to all the kindred spirits out there that see where we are, its cause, from where we came from...
