I've been looking at these for a couple of years.  Most time you can get the 243, 308, 30-06 for 595 - 695.  If you want the 45-70 (like I do) then you're looking at 995.

I am assuming (I know ) that your Bud was talking about the rifle being 'light as buggery' and not the triggers.  Seems to me the other things he mentioned could be fixed pretty easily, smooth the triggers and get a better recoil pad.

yea mate  he knows his shit,   and yes the rifle is quite light not the triggers   that was his description of the out of the box version hehe
