long story short, after seeing the jiffy pop pic on the net, I actually did that on a rental property, as a joke for the inspector/ owner.  a local city here changed the fire codes recently, makiing smoke detectors mandatory in every bed room.( only for rentals   ::), its a big time fine if you don't  )  they also inspect rentals before you are aloud to rent them out.  So in one bed room I did that with a small sign saying "fire dector"   The inspector( who is a real red neck... I like him) cracked up so hard he signed off the 35 unit apartment complex with out going any further.   ;D
