Im introducing my 7 year old to the old ruger .22

he is in that phase when he wants to be like dad, i know its cute and all but i dont want my son to be fighting any wars if you get what i mean.

he is starting to play around the house with his M4 airsoft gun that he bought with his birthday money, i currently not gave him any bb's unless he's with me at the farm.

you hear about all these school shooting and it is questionable as to whether you want to expose them to firearms at such a impressionable age, like watching his dad play at the range with his gun, he will want to do that. if he watches a TV show with a guy running around in public with a M4 then he will want to do that.

i will probably become more active with him and guns when he gets a little older.

Drill the safety rules into him, get him involved in sport shooting, like skeet etc.
Kids from the "gun culture" are not the ones who do stupid shit, it is the ones who know nothing but video games and movies that are the problem.
Kids that grow up shooting have been proven to be more responsible than those who don't and it carries over into other aspects of their lives.
