I'd bet less then 1% of them even know about this bill.

i'd bet less then 1% of the gun owners would know about this bill if it was federal.

I've been forwarding my NRA alerts to everyone I know out here as the bill has been progressing through Sacramento this year and all I keep hearing is that it will never become law.

I like the bill's definition of ammunition............

For purposes of this section, “ammunition” shall include,
but not be limited to, any bullet, cartridge, magazine, clip, speed
loader, autoloader, or projectile capable of being fired from a
firearm with deadly consequence. “Ammunition” does not include
blanks.

We have case law that state, all metalic cartarages are hand gun rounds since they make hand guns chambered for all of them.

shot shells are not currently listed as such.

Good thing they don't allow The Judge be sold here or it would include .410 shot shells. I guess that's one positive.

the way they get around that is the same way they get past the min length for shot gun barrels and min OAL(federal law).   they are chambered in 45colt, they just happen to have a longer chamber that can take 410s.

They also  (at least in the T/C's ) is by using a rifled barrel so technically (with the .45 chambering ) it isn't a shotgun.
