bolt action uppers for ars.

So I have a few lowers just collecting dust in the safe,  I don't want to build a AR as the laws here make them basicly suck.

I've seen a few uppers in big boomers like 338 and 50 bmg.   

does anyone have one?

I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

I've never shot one, but ALS has a very nice one. If you research it you'll find they completely redesigned the bolt assembly. This was because they had a ALS rifle fire out of battery at the National Matches this year at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, New Mexico. The shooter was severely injured, but will recover.

There is zero danger of that ever happening again with the new bolt design. The guns are very accurate, and do well in .50 BMG matches. They are a nice, cost effective way to get into .50 BMG shooting. Especially if you already have the lower.  Bill T.

lol   wonder if I should try and see if I can get a Bolt Action AR 15 sent over here to add to the collecting  :)

As you probably know, Alexander arms has a .50 (less punch than the BMG) and Bushmaster has a .450 Hornady which packs a punch as well.

BOHICA Mk II upper.  30" barrel.  Fits and shoots fine...really doesn't recoil bad at all.  About like a 3" slug 12 gauge.  I've added a 4 lb competition weight in the buttstock.  Entire rifle weighs about 32 lbs.

Now, if these are complete lowers, and just in the spirit of the season ( ;)), I would suggest a charity raffle for one, DRTV only. You name the apoitical chairity of your choice, cancell it if it doesn't get to an acceptable level, and take the write off for the lower. Win, win, win. But, that's just me. ;D Seriously, you can probably trade a couple of those for a nice used bolt in anything short of .50 you want.

they are striped cmmg forged lowers.
