If you have not had the pleasure of LPCs (leather personnel carriers) They suck. The old boots that the army issued would eat your feet alive. I put on my old jungle boots and took them right back off and put them back in the foot locker. I would rather ride. Light infantry my arse. That road marching is for the birds.

We can thank BHO for the cuts to the F-22 Raptor, and other projects that would have put folks to work that have now otherwise been "shelved" until 2013....

That Raptor is a heck of a bird.  There's a guy I used to work with that's ANG over some F-16's here and he used to ask me why we needed something that has no threat to it...kind of dumb question if you ask me just goes to show not all military is intelligence.  Anyway, his group got the upgraded Eagle turbines which really expanded their capability and, by the way, he said the Raptor routinely went up against the F-15 in no holds barred exercises and took them out 10 to 1....that would be 10 down with the 1 Raptor returning victorious.

Before Direct TV, jerked me around with NatGeo, and the Military channel, there was that very episode your describing on film.

They sent up "1" Raptor against 5 of the F-15 Strike Eagles. All accomplished top shelf pilots, 2 were the Israeli "Top Guns"...

uh,....the pilot of the Raptor was very cocky upon landing (cocky Air Force Pilots?),,,,he had smoked every one..."virtually of course"

Did he even have to register? Wouldn't he have been 18 post draft and been too old when it was reinstated? This isn't a defense just a question.

How dare you put him on my level    He was born on August 4, 1961 - well outside the window of those of us that did not need to register.  It was only a six month window - I believe it is six months of birthdates from July -December of '58.
