An early B-day wish from Mr. Leahy
« on: February 16, 2010, 01:46:52 PM »
After a miserable week and an even worse day at work I came home to some surprise Fed-Exmass! ;D

Yay! A new Quadratec catalog! My Jeepforum sticker has arrived! And a mystery box!  ;D ;D ;D

Well looky here, this is coming from the great state of AZ and I only know one Leahy with a knack for making gun owners happy!

Ta Da! Its my new Simply Rugged holster for my S&W 327 R8!

So I put this...

In here..

Fit is tight, with a capital "T". Does anybody know of any good break in procedure? This is looking pretty good if I don't say so myself.  ;D

The best break-in is, to just wear it. Holster leather never shrinks, only stretches. A holster starts it's life as too tight, breaks in, gets too loose, then finally wears until it's flabby and too loose.
Anything that speeds break-in too much, will shorten the life of the holster.

Very nice rig, JdePietro....very nice.
You might try to contact the maker for a break in procedure.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison
