Pray for Marshal'ette
« on: May 03, 2010, 07:07:55 AM »
not sure if you have seen this post

my robust and recently healthy 82 yr old daddy ( who lives just 5 blocks from me)..has been diagnosed with lung..lymph..and liver cancer.. It is spreading like a fast grass fire throughout his body..so I won't be going to NRA this year.. I can't be away from mama or him at this time..
It's beyond surgery or any kind of treatment.. He isn't in hardly any pain ( his chest hurts a bit)  so I am grateful for that..We keep his ice tea glass filled and try to get him to eat a bite or 2 of food. but we don't have too much luck in that dept..
He takes lots of naps..and sits in his recliner and visits with everyone.. but he is wasting away at a rapid pace and it tears out every bit of my heart to see him like this..
We are saying all the things that we have said millions of times to each other.. but it seems that now there is a panic attached to what we talk about.. Like I don't want to forget anything that I have ever thought I wanted to say to him and didn't type of thing..
:'(  sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... it just sooo sucks and hurts so bad...
so please excuse me not being on the forum much for awhile.   :'(

I am not a massive religious person

however I felt that we need to have a thread for you & your family Teresa in this very sad time.   :'( :'(

I would like to speak on behalf  of everyone here in the DRTV family
we are all thinking of you all  and you do what is needed for your family

this place won't be going away and the regulars will make sure nothing changes in the "corner" for when you get back  ;D, we do appreciate the new posters you had made up ;)

remember when you need a laugh just sing out,  pull up seat, grab a beer or I can get a nice Barossa wine if you would rather.

once again  my thought to your Mum, Your Self and the rest of the Family.  :'(

Finally for your Old Man Teresa.    Our Prayers are there for you Fred.

Marshal'ette, as well as many others on this forum, have helped me through some extremely tough times over the last couple years.  Without a doubt, my support and prayers are with you and your family, M'ette.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.
