Wife just had ice cream with Sarah Palin

My wife just called me from Kilwin's ice cream shop here in St. Joe, MI.  My wife was walking with 2 of our kids in our little downtown and looked up and a woman was walking toward her, smiled and said hi.  They both walked into the ice cream shop...my wife said to herself..."huh, that looks like Sarah Palin".

Sure enough it was.  They sat and talked quite a bit.  Kel says she was very nice.  She was in town to give a speech to the local Economic Club.

My daughter ran out to my wife's car and got her copy of Going Rogue (don't ask me why she carries it in the car) and got an autograph.

My day wasn't that interesting...

KPR, I knew she was in town to speak at the Economic Club of SW MI.  I was tempted to stop by the motel where many of the speakers stay last night and check out the bar, but it was too late by the time I got off work and got back to town.  My daughter was downtown all day, I'll have to see if she ran into her.  I'd like to get tickets to the Economic Club events sometime, they have a great collection of speakers. Some of the past have been Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, Laura Bush, I think both Bush 41 and 43.  I also think that Oliver North, Swartzkopf, and Cal Thomas have been speakers in years past.  I wonder what the wait time is to become a member.
