No offense to the Old guy , but I hope Daley turns this into a media circusnot even the party machine could get him reelected and of course he would stress the connection with NY though "mayors against guns" which will give Bloomy a good smearing as well.

Very true. And, not to put too fine a point on it, technically the old guy's gun was illegal, which would fit into Bloomie's definition of Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

However, since we all know that MAIG is not about illegal guns, but it is about making all guns illegal, neither Dickie Boy nor Nanny Bloomie will say a word about this case.

What does that mean?  Compared to what?   Actually a gun in the home is 100% more likely to be involved in an unintentional shooting than any other item in the home?
