My 'carry in my pocket every day-everywhere' light for the past year has been a Coleman 65 lumen light I actually found at wally-world (I wasn't shopping for lights at the time, but figured for the price, what the heck). It is aluminum, with striking bezel, LED, runs on 3 AAA batteries, has a lanyard, and fits well in my pocket. It is bright enough to blind you at 'in-the -house' distances and you can't stare into it at distances up to 75'. It is bright and sharp enough to be able to identify items out to 100 yards (I can differentiate varmints on our property at distance). Downside is it only has on/off function, but for $20, it has been a good light so far (at least a good alternative until finances allow a better purchase).
