Congressman has no grounds to claim "fear."

He threw the first punch and was the only one to get physical.

The only thing the kid could have done different to really make him look bad ... I mean worse, is to have stated name, city and state, and college he attends.  However, even without that the Congressman screwed himself big time!

No gun in DC is fine.  A closed fist around the barrel of my Surefire would have left him feeling four knuckles against the bridge of his nose when he went for my cameraphone  >:(

If you watch the end of the video you will see someone standing off behind the Congressman.  However, there is no sign of security anywhere.  If there had been security I'm sure they would have been all over these students the moment the Congressman grabbed at the phone.

Once again, good job guys on keeping your cool.  I hope this goes national and the Congressman pays the price for assaulting students on the streets of D.C.!

It has:

I wouldn't call HotAir getting it out nationally.  Fox, MSNBC, or even CNN(D) now THAT would be awesome.

After watching the video several times I can state that the young man has not watched Best Defense.
No cycling, no hammer strikes, no ankle stomps.  ;D ;D

OK it would have been the second best defense but still.

Have you not noticed anything good that Hot Air covers FOX will cover not soon after? I think FOX lets Hot Air do a lot of their leg work for them ;D

Fox has been reporting it since noon..

Hot Air had the story up at 9:30.... thats about how long it usually takes FOX to get it up and running.

Hanity was talking about it on his show last hour.

As most of you know I am something of a public figure.  (not on the same plain as a congresscritter, to be sure, but I digress)  Point is, that people I have never seen before stop me on the street all the damn time to ask me questions about one thing or another they've heard me say on the radio show.  And while I have been known to nonchalantly slip my right hand into my front pants pocket and get a grip on my KelTec, I've NEVER assaulted anybody, nor even demanded their ID, as did this piece of pelosi.  I have politely asked for their name before departing so "I can remember you next time we meet", but NEVER have I reacted anywhere CLOSE to that manner.

Oh yeah, one more thing, ANYBODY ever grabs me like that will NOT be gripping anything with that hand anytime soon.  ;D
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

If I still lived in NC, and this was me, I would look fwd. to having my fellow DRTV Forum members, pass the hat and raise my bail. As this Member of Congress would still be wondering what day it was, admiring the colors, and WHO HE WAS!!!

I still regret tar and feathering has gone away... :-\
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.
