My rant on the Gulf of Mexico - our president & BP:  We the people are being taken for a ride by both sides of this play act.  BP gave Obama one of his biggest campaign contributions during the election & now he wants to put them out of business?  Yea...Right! BP does not want help from anyone who offers biodegradable and environmentally friendly methods to clean up the oil and keep all volunteers away, only BP employees for clean-up.  The government is acting the same way.  Did anyone view Huckaby on Fox News last night?  People with clean-up technology that is years old for cleaning spills but BP and the government will have no part of it.  BP watches from a mile above the ocean floor and only sees the oil cloud grow larger by the day.  Obama goes golfing, has a snow cone and speaks about how two faced and forked tongue large corporation C.E.Os can be (something about a pot and a kettle comes to mind).  This whole mess is starting to look like neither side wants to clean up the mess and both sides intend to clean up at the bank.

Don't forget that every heavy weight contributor to Obama's campaign from ACORN to SEIU to the United Auto Workers Union has been on his payback list and we have seen him pay them back with our money, I believe this whole debacle will in months to come turn clear and we will see how these people sought to ruin our planet, economy, our patriotic spirit and willingness to fight back.

Obama and crew are quickly overwhelming this country and its ability to respond to natural disasters what will be next...terrorist attacks?  How about financial speed bumps where they make a bank holiday and close down the banks ( in fear that the public will withdraw too much money).  I do not believe BP blew up their rig but I do believe Rahm Emanuel who said a good crisis should never be left to go to waste.  It is an opportunity to do things you couldn't normally do.  Watch both hands people, watch what both hands are doing, they talk fast and prey on our patriotism, our love of God and love of nature.  They are opportunistic vultures only thinking of what and how they can gain for themselves while everyone else attempts to tread water.

Lou, I don't know where you are getting your information, probably MSM, but this from your 1st post is not true,

BP was hiring shrimp fisherman to help with clean up from day one and it was the Coast Guard who vetoed "biodegradable and environmentally friendly methods to clean up the oil ".

I will continue to say it, this would not be a problem if the DEMS had not stopped them from drilling on shore.

I have been approached by several companies about jobs in the gulf. none of them have been BP. they just send them a bill. if you want to help clean-up etc.. nobody is stopping you. I was approached while I was at sea so could not make it before the spots were filled, but they still need people I'm sure. just don't trample the dumb arse environmentalists that are getting in the way. (the biggest obstacle in my opinion). you'll notice that most pictures of clean-up crews are pretty slow moving and look bored. believe me, they picked up their pace for the cameras. I've been on oil spill jobs before and it was the most boring thing I have ever done in my life.    the big job will be engineering a way to stop the flow and repair the well. not going to be easy as the BOP is damaged and they need to get it out of the way.  as for the gubment, they don't have a clue to what's going on, nor will they. that goes for the media as well. (damn monkeys)

Don't forget the Jones Act. The evil and most despised Bush, suspended it by Executive Order so foreign ships could assist in any way possible after Hurricane Katrina,.....

There are several foreign tankers, that have offered to assist skimming, containment booms, etc,.....but as our wonderful POTUS played golf, and ate snowcones,.....has yet to suspend it.

Now could it be possible that not cleaning up the oil spill is a way to harm the states with a R in the Governors office? I certainly wouldn't put it past this crew from chicago.
