Thanks CR, I guess my list was incorrect.

No problem from my end.  I just happen to think highly of Gov. Barbour and just couldn't allow such blasphemy to stand LOL.

Offered by Crusader who probably likes Gov. Barbour partly because we share physical characteristics (such as sometimes being mistaken for a Southern version of the Pillsbury Doughboy.)

Hello everyone and hello Tom, I haven't been able to respond until now but today is a good day for it.  Has anyone watched and/or dvr'd Glenn Beck?  If you want to know why I believe BP is taking us for a ride along with this corrupt administration view this show.  By the way, I do not listen nor waste my time watching main (lame) stream media so do not bother peddling that garbage off on me.  I work for a small city as a department director.  Last week I spoke with my boss about the oil spill, BP and the possibility of the spill coming on to our beach.  My boss was a participant on a telephone conference call led by BP who stated clearly that they do not want help in cleaning up the mess on the beach.  They were asked by city officials on the call how best to collect and contain the oil deposits when found and BP's response was to leave it alone, call the phone number given in the information and let BP handle the situation.

That is not the usual way things are done.  I could give a large crap about BP's protocol, we have the public to consider and their safety.  As for me I want that garbage off my BEACH!!  It is not my intention to prove to unbelievers about the corrupt actions of this president, BP and the things happening in south america.  Maybe in the beginning of this BP was open to help but their attitude has changed and what about that "twenty minute meeting" between Obama and BP, wish I could stop by someone's house and collect 20 Billion dollars without even an arm wrestling match.  After he picked up the check, Obama was off to lunch with Biden and out to the golf course.  This stinks to the high heavens and again, the only innocents in this are you and me.

If someone wants to still defend BP then my hat is off to you because you are standing alone in my book.  If anyone watched Huckabee on Fox News a week ago they saw at least 6 different ways to clean up the oil from the water and the shore.  All ways are biodegradable and have government approval or at least utilize completely natural means to perform the task.  All people stated that they have called and pleaded with our government and with BP to allow their methods to be used for the clean up and both said no. Can anyone answer as to why they do not want help?  As was said once in a movie long ago, "I'd piss on a spark plug if I thought it would work."  What the hell!  Why not let them help???  Because the same company that was the largest contributor to the Obama campaign is now helping him to fulfill his agenda and destroy the fish industry in the gulf as well as the oil and tourism industry not to forget local workers who make their daily living from all these industries.  Obama is giving 2 billion dollars to Petro-Bra in Brazil for deep water oil drilling exploration to drill deeper than Deep Water Horizon but for us ladies and gentlemen you'd better crack out the old peddle moped we're going to need it when gasoline hits eight dollars a gallon.

This person in the White House is destroying the lower half of our country with his 'I don't give a damn' attitude.  Enjoy your next 'all you can eat shrimp' at Red Lobster, it may be the last for a long time. :o ;D

Actually that was sarcastic, My mother lives in that area so I know where it is. There is about as much chance of oil coming to your beaches as there is of it coming to mine.  Got that whole Peninsula thing going on between the West and East coasts.

Last Saturday I flew back from Kalifornistan to Tampa with a layover in Atlanta.  As we began our descent into Tampa, I looked out the window of the plane and saw huge swatches of crude not too far off the coast of Dunedin/Tarpon Springs.  It appears to me that the stuff is moving southward and that we will probably see it on our beaches here in St. Petersburg.  If/when it gets into the loop current, it doesn't take a great deal of imagination to think it could well be a problem for the East Coast of Florida.  It's a mess.  And Odamna hasn't got a clue what he should be doing.  A good first step would have been to waive the Jones Act and get the Dutch skimmers in here.

That being the case, even though it could be pulled as far north as the Grand Bank's, wouldn't it also tend to parallel the shore rather than washing up ?
