"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. As mentioned previously, there are WAY too many horrid movies to list, but like many of you I feel compelled to voice my dislike for A Clockwork Orange.  I even tried watching this film while intoxicated, back in my unruly days, but not even that made it bearable.  With the exceptions of The Shining and Full Metal Jacket, all of Kubrick's films stink, though.  I must also agree with BillT, anything aired on the Lifetime network should automatically fall into the crap category.   ;D

Amazon Women On The Moon,

Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes,

Brokeback Mountain

There is just so many.

But I have been known to enjoy The Rocky Horror Picture Show,.. ::)
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Eraserhead.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Eraserhead.
Bastard! I had succesfully forgotten that movie till now. Now, I'm going to hear that creepy theme and picture the folks in the TV. Thanks, really. >:(
FQ13 who wonders why anyone thought this movie was worth watching, much less labeling a classic. I mean, I like David Lynch as much as the next guy. Blue Velvet and the first season of Twin Peaks were darn good, but Eraserhead? WTF?

I have watched many movies base on their rep, most I was appreciative of, some were honestly, Dude, I don't take the drugs necessary to get your meaning and don't intend to. Those of you who don't like Road House, I disagree, great music, hot chicks, small town being turned into a homeowners association, ( I hate home owners associations ) , good fight choreography. Pool stick fu, removing tracheas, did I mention Kelly Lynch naked, loss of a great friend, a lot of good humor, and getting the bad guy in the end, by the town elders, and covering it up. 1 of my favorites on many levels, the music was top drawer, with Jeff Healey and Tito and the Tarantulas.

Yeah, I have seen Rocky Horror many, many times, both the US version and the British version, only difference is it is in Black and White until Frankie comes down the elevator.

Recommendations that I was surprised at, The Jack Bull, IN pursuit of honor, ( Don Johnson ) 1920's calvary who were to euthanize the horses and instead drove them to Canada, followed by the massacre at DC of veterans protesting about their pay and conditions that were guaranteed them, Frailty, good flick that will keep you guessing.

Kevin Costner runs hot and cold, 2 not mentioned that to me are automatic dvd's to watch when nothing else fits the bill.
Revenge with Anthony Quinn and Madeline Stow, hot and full of hard decision and betrayal, and Open Range, If you don't like this, We got a problem.

Pulp fiction was done as a pulp, Cartoon if you will, where you get bits every week on the page, once you understand that, you can better understand it, I do like it, but I had to watch it a few times to get it. It is just like reading more serious cartoons, which is not proper, there must be a better word.

Ernest Borgnine, Emperor of the North Pole, with Lee Marvin, a hard look into Hobo train riding, Ernest is an evil badass, you will not be disappointed. He has a technique of finding riders under the train that will blow you away and make you flinch. Killer ending.

Song, I ain't going down broke back mountain, I agree. Actors took a chance, never seen it, and don't intend to, but I guess Bruno, is 10 squared.

Paths of Glory, 2001???

I have neither seen nor heard of Paths of Glory, so it may also fall into the exceptions list of Kubrick films.  Somehow it managed to fly beneath my radar, but I'll definitely check it out now.  It'll either be a great movie or give me something else to gripe about.   ::)  Also, thanks Pathfinder, for fixing that little error.   ;)

Ahhhhhh!!!!!!  Go get it!  Doctor Strangelove???

To be honest, Paths of Glory has, in my opinion, the best ending of any war movie I've ever seen.  I highly doubt you'll gripe about the movie.  But as well go get 'Doctor Strangelove: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb', fantastic, hilarious, and dark as hell.
