Didn't tke them long to find a use for tragedy
« on: August 04, 2010, 04:55:34 PM »
Didn't take the Brady-bunch very long to trot out their spin on a tragedy:

Quote
Paul Helmke, President of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and former Indiana political leader, issued the following statement from Chicago:

“We make it too easy for dangerous people to arm themselves - people like the angry, severely troubled man who murdered co-workers in Hartford.  And we allow public access to military-style semiautomatic assault weapons, like the shooter in Indianapolis.  We need to come to terms with this horror in our country.

“While these types of tragedies are taking place, Congress is passing laws to ensure the gun lobby is exempt from campaign finance laws and that gun owners can keep their arsenals if they file bankruptcy.  And we have a President who won’t talk about solutions to the gun violence problem.

“I grieve for the families who have lost loved ones today, just like the families who lost loved ones last week, and the week before, and the week before that.  There must come a day when we do something about this, rather than just shrug and say it’s inevitable.”

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

"When it comes to the enemy, just because they ain't pullin' a trigger, doesn't mean they ain't totin' ammo for those that are."~PegLeg

One of my pals at work today, a confused "liberservative", commented on this and reported that there are more guns in the US than any other country.

I responded.."Good!  Too bad there weren't a few armed folks in that conference room yesterday, there would only be one dead asshole instead of eight decent citizens!"

I left it at that....

Sorry Paul, but the problem isn't that “We make it too easy for dangerous people to arm themselves", it's that we make it too difficult for law-abiding citizens to arm themselves against dangerous people who have armed themselves.

As Homer Simpson would say, "DOH!!!"
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

NBC news reported 2 9mm handguns in his lunchbox... ??? Either way, if it was a white shooter, the MSM would be spinning this another way,....now it's the same ol' playbook...

He was an African American VICTIM of discrimination, asked to resign by evil whitey....What other choice did he have?

Teamsters Union has a hand in this somehow,.....I'm sure that will be on the up & up..

I read today he shot the Teamster boss in the head.

"The dead also included Bryan Cirigliano, 51, of Newington, president of Teamsters 1035, who had been Thornton's representative at the hearing, and Louis Felder, who was operations director, according to The Stamford Advocate. "

What is the company policy on concealed carry?
I am a member of my nation's chosen soldiery.
God grant that I may not be found wanting,
that I will not fail this sacred trust.

Does you military use "semi-automatic" firearms?

Mine doesn't!

Maybe they would have preferred if he had driven his delivery truck through the building, so they could ban greenhouse gas emitting vehicles  >:(

I guess the video of him stealing beer matters not, and the recently released 911 call, by the BG, saying " I wish I could have got more" matters not, as he is a victim of racism....

Please, all the more reason to allow carry at work. If feasible.
