Very Sweet! That's a nice sight package. Not that sights are super important for a defensive shotgun, but what a nice shotgun.

Congratulations.

Look fwd. to a range report.  00Buck to Slugs.

OBTW,.....It's an "evil" black shotgun... ;)

I have the same opinion on the sights of this shotgun as I do on the Mossberg 590A1. If I need a slug or I need to be some what precise then I want every bit of sights I can get. I was popping clays out of the air left and right with that 590A1 with it's 20" barrel and no choke. I would love to have the time and money to take Gunsite's shotgun course to build my skill in loading to the situation. This gun was built with the ability to change from what's in the chamber to a mission/need specific load. So why not learn to maximize that skill? Oddly I got a guy I've who's trading me his Mossberg 500A (pictured below) for an old camera I have laying around. It's a bit older but it looks to be in awesome shape. I don't know if I really need it but I let so much of my collection go that I wouldn't mind rebuilding it this way. I still have an eye on an FNP9 when I get paid that I'll order through the NRA Instructor program and save a good bit on.

I've always wanted a Benelli M3 (Semi Auto/Pump) but could never afford one. I thought this would be good way to blow $400. And I really had to debate between this or one of the Winchester 1897s they had for $350. I figured that I could either spend $400 on a brand new high quality shotgun with ghost ring sights or $350 on a shotgun that could be 80+ years old and showing obvious signs of aging and wear. I'll give it a chance then see. Anyone have any experience with the Nova series. I know from just handling it the last day or so it's a bit weird in it's length of pull.
I shoot a SuperNova for almost all my shotgun hunting and tend to even bring it out for most of my clay shooting as well. ThU e thing I love about it is how easily adjustable it is for drop and cant with all the shims included. Being a left handed shooter and most shotguns coming out of the factory canted for a right handed (or sometimes neutral) shooter it's nice to have a left handed cant. The length of pull is nearly perfect for me but I have freakishly long arms. The very mild recoil is a huge plus too since I have a titanium plate over the majority of my clavicle. I can't shoot my O/U much anymore and even most autoloaders tend to have a negative effect with very little shooting but I can literally shoot the SuperNova all day.

I just got a new toy, too.  Well, at least I ordered it.  My employer DIDN'T pay for it.  Well, in a way, I guess he did because I used a chunk of my paycheck to pay for it myself.  Should be here next week.  Ought to go well with the SS Rossi .357 lever gun I got about a month ago.  And no, Bunny has no idea I bought another gun. :P  And yes, I will use it if any of you troublemakers mentions it to her. ;)
