A Good Website To "Favorite"
« on: September 15, 2010, 10:16:39 AM »
http://www.dialahuman.com/

This is a link from Kim Komando's website, (She's forgotten more about computers and digital equipment than most of us will ever know). It shows what buttons to press when you're on the phone and want to talk to a person instead of a robot. Many companies are listed. This can save a lot of aggravation. There are times I've been about ready to throw the phone across the room I get so frustrated with this.   Bill T.

I love talking to humans when I have a problem but I want to be able to understand them!

Big +1.

How about dial someone who speaks English without a thick Indian or Pakistani accent?

Heck, I've talked to folks right here in the good ol' US of A and still couldn't understand them.   :-\

I was reading an article that a lot of companies like Netgear are starting to get away from heavily accented tech support people, because they are getting so many complaints from customers in this country who cannot understand them. What goes around, comes around.  Bill T.

haha   so you guys are not the only ones with that issue

a lot of Aussie Slang in this one

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

“I’ve lived the literal meaning of the ‘land of the free’ and ‘home of the brave.’ It’s not corny for me. I feel it in my heart. I feel it in my chest. Even at a ball game, when someone talks during the anthem or doesn’t take off his hat, it pisses me off. I’m not one to be quiet about it, either.”  Chris Kyle
