fuzD.  Yes it does feel funny in the beginning.  I wear a fannypack and had read that it shouts "GUN!" but I'm 63 and nobody pays this old fart any attention even walking on the sidewalk in front of the courthouse and near the police station.

Yeah, I can just carry a couple of extra "clips" in my pocket for rapid reloads instead of depending on the speedloader for the .357.

+1 Peg. I noticed a guy at the Fresh Market in the "Kahr" ballcap, most folks don't even know what that represents, but me, well I was wearing my TAPCO shirt, and we both looked at each other and nodded. 8)

Think thats wierd, wait till you live in an open carry state. Trying that for the first time is a real trip.

The 40 is VERY snappy out of the 27 so the 26 *should* be better for recoil control. If recoil is an issue for you, go with the 26.
If not, carry the 27 with a smile. I do and have for many years.
(Get a mag floorplate extension. My Pearce floorplate made a WORLD of difference)

I have my California CCW and now that the temps are back down into the 80's I can carry my G27 OWB with an untucked shirt over a tee, but during the summer months its my .357 J frame in my front pocket.

even when it was 115 this summer, I had a 1991 on my hip.  I'm a skinny guy, but IWB and a lose shirt works very well.

If your choices are between the GLOCKs I'd choose the 27 because it fires a bigger bullet. But since you want a pocket gun, my choice is a J-frame in .357 Mag. My personal choice is a S&W 649 in .357 Mag. The G26/27 seem a bit too bulky to me for a pocket gun. Some people pull it off great, but for pocket I'd go with a 5 shot .357 revolver. I wouldn't choose a .38 Spl. gun. When ammo shortages come around, .38 Special is one of the 4 calibers that you can't find at all (even harder to find is hollow points in those calibers). In some cases, you can still find .357 mag hollow points. With .357 you can still shoot .38 Spl in it, or you have the option to shoot Magnum rounds in it. If it doesn't have to be a pocket gun, I'd choose the G27. But since you said pocket pistol, I voted Other. I'm told the Ruger LCR is a great gun, but I wouldn't choose a .38 Spl.
