Walther's suck, get a real gun,
 a S&W.    ;D

Do we not see eye-to-eye.    I've never been impressed with S&W semi-autos, whether their brand or Walther's.   On the other hand I worship their revolvers.

The P99 being German made, of course is a finely tuned piece of machinery.
Will work for ammo

I'm looking at a 26 possibly and maybe an as new gen 1 19 if I can find it again.  Lone Wolfe does some cool flames...but not in PINK.

I'm officially jealous.   It's one of the times I wish I did have a Glock.   Too back I can't get bling for my XD.

Oh, and the legal thing?   I'd only put bling on my competition guns, which I don't use for carry.   Besides a Walther P99 is quiet elegance and doesn't need bling.

This is what currently passes for bling for an XD/XDm:

It's an aluminum striker spring guide, replaces the little black plastic one on the back of the slide.

I'd say the difference in bling makes the XD/XDm a serious business pistol and the Glocks toys.

Gets his lawn chair, some beer, pretzels, fires up the barbie and sits back to watch the fireworks and some forum members melt like polymer guns tossed in the campfire
Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

We can talk about the Gen 1 G19. I own one with two Clinton Mags. Mine is cherry (owned by a little old lady from Pasadena, actually, lady judge in Palm Beach, but same difference. I'd swear it had no bodies on it, but it was owned by a Florida politician. ;D). No BS, its like new. I'd be interested more in a trade than cash thoiugh, as I'd want more than its worth. I would however, be cheap in a trade if you have something I want. PM me if you are interested.

I'm just yanking your chain Alf, The only Walther's I ever shot were a P-38, I don't like the grip angle at all, and a P-22. No complaints.
And I knew S&W Distributes them now  ;D

Yeah yeah yeah.

Get the stainless steel guide rod for the Glock, real guns skip the aluminum stuff.   :D :D

You can also get a Titanium striker for the Glock Real Guns.   Plus other titanium parts.

The titanium striker reduces lock time by a few fractions of a second.  I doubted it's usefulness until I did some searches on it and found a guy who had the equipment to sense and measure the movement of the striker within a gun as it was fired.

Don't remember the exact amount of time it cut out,  but I do remember his calculation that at SD ranges of 21 feet or under, your bullet will be hitting it's target before the other fellow's left the muzzle, if the sear is released at the same time.

Don't know if that woud make a difference, but it sure seems like it has a good chance to be an advantage

My theory on lighter than factory parts is that you increase the possibility of a light primer strike when you start going with "Commander style hammer's or Titanium parts (Ti is lighter than steel ).

I don't think there is much difference in weight from a standard 1911 hammer and a commander hammer...... because it's not that there is more metal missing from the commander but that it has just been reshaped.
Next time I have a couple apart, I'll weigh them and see.

Here is an interesting exchange on the subject:

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

Comes with a heavier striker spring.
