Scroll down and click on the top left "Zoom" picture, and check out the cylinder gap. Are all Nagant revolvers like this? Not a bad gun for a C-note, but good God how could you possibly get any velocity with a cylinder gap like that?  Bill T.

The cylinders move forward on nagants when they are cocked.  They also have a funky case.  the bullet is seated way deep and the lip of the case actualy contacts the forcing cone.

well its the M1895, so I'd assume most are wood, but I know they made them til the end of ww2.  So some of the newer ones could have plastic.

They are making Nagant Ammo again, Hornady I believe, but you can also buy a replacement cylinder that takes regular .32 ammo.
The pistol has always been considered extremely accurate but under powered.
It actually forms a double seal as the cylinder cams forward over the rear of the barrel while the cartridge mouth forms the inside seal.

The later made pistols have a plastic (bakelite?) grip.

That Nagant pistol ammo price is awful.   A Tokarev, like deepwaters, is the Glock grand dad, and you can get ammo, and mags, much cheaper.

Also C&R eligible. One to throw in the truck/car, tool box, etc,...the damn thing is hard to beat. Thumping round as well.
Just something to consider...

Tokarev's are great and compact enough for CCW any where if you use an IWB holster . I've had several of the Chinese 9mm model 213's.
The European ones are chambered in 7.62 X25 which goes almost as cheap as 22LR
