Arizona Sheriff issues permission to use lethal force.

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Sheriff Paul Babeu has announced he plans to use deadly force, if necessary, to drive smugglers and border bandits out of his part of the desert.

Sheriff Babeu said that in the week following the shooting death of a Border Patrol agent, the Sheriff admits the chances of having a gun fight in the desert are extremely high.

Babeu says deadly force will be used if his deputies confront dangerous cartels.
"I've given specific instruction, no less than lethal force is going to be used.  It's all lethal force only and we go into that environment knowing that we're likely expecting an armed threat from these people,"

Wonder how long it will be  before Obama, Holder and Napolitano have this department up on a Lawsuit/Charges over this?   People of Arizona and the United States are tiring of the ineffectually manner in which the current administration is handling matters.

At first blush, you look at this and say, "This guy is trying to steal the blowhard Arizona Sheriff award from Sheriff Joe". Then you look at the facts. The thing is, if ever there was an old west, shoot to kill environment, its the Arizona border. I wish the guy well. To my mind, if the feds have the money to hassel this guy, they have the money to do their job so he doesn't have to. Its damn dangerous down there and it shouldn't be. If the feds did their jobs (and here I blame every President from Reagan to BO) we wouldn't have this problem. If the locals stand up and say no mas? Well, the blame falls in DC.

Sheriff Paul Babeu is an awesome guy.

There was a ch 12 (NBC) wrapup Sunday about the 'big' interviews they did in 2010. The talking head kept baiting Babeu and the sheriff didn't get sucked in - he stuck to his beliefs, stated the facts and made the talking head look like an uneducated school boy.

Why is this news? The cartel's have killed tens of thousands in their own country, cut up bodies and put them in 55g drums, rape and pillage the border towns in Mexico, and have stated, they are going to have snipers target LEO's, ICE, civilians on OUR side.

American property owners/ranchers have been killed down there already. NOW this sheriff says this?

Where the hell has he been? Bueller??

Where's OUR snipers? OUR helicopter gunships? OUR NG?  How about a couple of armed drones? How about a deputized volunteer citizen militia?

This is like the Somali pirates, the only thing that rectifies the situation is DESTROYING THEM. Yet Big Sis, previous admin's, play tiddlywinks with politics, and blame US for furnishing all those guns to the cartel's....

How's that border wall working? Oh, that's right,,,,they stopped construction, and made sure "water" stations were available.

I agree!  I don't know how far back it goes, but the border was porous in the 60's, and they weren't all "nice" people coming across either.

Two things draw the ire of the American liberal:  1.  Body count of our soldiers when we enter war; and 2. When law enforcement drops the hammer on an illegal alien undocumented foreign national (fixed in preparation for the PC crowd).
