For once on this subject FQ is at least partly right.
The major problem with Detroit schools is not so much the teachers as it is that the school system is dominated by the teachers union. Do not confuse the 2, while the teachers may be at least marginally interested in education the union is interested in only accruing and maintaining political influence.
PJTV's Stephen Crowder had a good report on the sh!thole that was the showcase of America, (unfortunately it is now only available to paid members
) right up till 1961 when it was taken over by socialist democrats and union stooges, it's been all down hill ever since.
Back on topic I have to ask, how is the student population growing when the child bearing population is shrinking due to the advancing age of baby boomers ?
How is the student population growing in a school system with a 75% drop out rate ?
How is the student population growing in a city with so few jobs that entire sections are abandoned and being bulldozed ?
