I made this comment in the thread where  McGyver was busting FQ's chops for using E Bay, but I will raise the subject here as well.
Back in the '80's the lefties were all in a tizzy about Apartheid in South Africa, and were PO'd that US companies were doing business with the White Govt. They could not get much results other than news coverage with protests so what they did was to start buying stock in the companies.
This granted them access to the annual share holder meetings, where, as legal part owners, they had to be allowed to speak their peice.
It worked, The companies all quit doing business with the White Govt. and it was the beginning of the end in South Africa.
You all seem to hate Saul Alinsky, but if you do not learn and implement his tactics you are fools who are doomed to failure.
By following this course you are no longer standing outside being ignored, you are working inside their own system and they have to listen, second, regardless of their policies you make a profit on the stock, preventing it from going to our enemies, and third, if enough people do it it will actually change the direction of management.
