I couldn't help myself....

Bought an M&P9 & Saturday at the range can't get here fast enough!!
"Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty, teeth and keystone under independence. The church, the plow, the prairie wagon and citizens' firearms are indelibly related. From the hour the pilgrims landed to the present day, events, occurrences and tendencies prove that, to ensure peace, security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable. Every corner of this land knows firearms, and more than 99 and 99/100 percent of them by their silence indicate that they are in safe and sane hands. The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil influence. They deserve a place of honor with all that's good. When firearms go, all goes. We need them every hour." George Washington

As an M&P owner, congratulations! S&W got this platform right. Nice addition.  Have you explored the grips? Or found the right combo?

As a lefty with large hands, being able to change to the Med. grip, and swap the mag release to the "other" side, plus the grip is what sold me, makes the M&P a great package. And not as ugly as a Glock or XD.... ::)

Damn thing shoots everything.

Good get.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

I have large hands but I like the medium grip the most. The true test will be at the range this weekend though.  ;D

Well I ran about 200 rounds through the M&P9 today at Dade City Rod & Gun Club & I gotta say it's AWESOME!!!!! ;D The trigger reset could be a little more noticeable but once I got used to it I wasn't bothered. For a gun I bought brand new for $453.00 (with no sales tax & free shipping) I could not be happier & I might even pick up the compact version down the road. I also saw some sort of fancy little Kel-Tec & a Sig P229 have at lest 5 malfunctions(FTF) each(maybe 10-15 on the Sig) but I attribute it to user errors of some sort or another. My jaw hit the ground when I watched these guys having nothing but problem after problem with their pistols.
