Ruger sp 101 in 4 inch holster
« on: April 13, 2011, 11:34:00 PM »
Just did some horse tradin and came out with a ruger sp 101 in .22 cal.  It has a 4 inch barrel and I don't see many holsters for it.  I see uncle mikes sells 1 but can't find a picture, it would be nice if it covered the trigger guard, but most of the uncle mikes pictures show they don't cover it.  I hate to go the uncle mikes route would rather have leather, and cross draw would be great.

Left handed also

Thanks

Can't help on the holster, but that sure does sound like a great fun gun for training, plonking, kids and training new shooters to take the scare out of "guns"

Have fun with it.

I've got one as well and I found a leather DeSantis that fit it in their catalog, lefty too. I don't remember the model but it's a speed scabbard style, fully covered trigger guard without any retention strap. I wear it in the woods all the time and have never had an issue with it being loose. It's been almost 2 years since I bought it so I'm not sure if they still offer it. Great gun by the way. Totally overbuilt but I wish it had the 8-10rd cylinder that it could've easily been designed with. I hear they're real popular in Kalifornia since they can't have a revolver over 6rds.

Sweet thanks I'll look into that.  I shot it this weekend, great little 22 and definetly overbuilt.  I would love to have a leather holster for it.

If that doesn't work for you try Clament Custom Leather: http://www.clamentcustomleather.com/index.html I actually found them on ebay when I did a web search to find a LC9 holster. They gave me their regular ebay price even though I needed a left-handed model and made me a really nice matching single mag pouch with a body protector for another $25. Even their web prices are good and the best thing is they're fast. I got custom leather delivered in around 10 days. I have ordered a lot of custom leather and have never got an item so fast. I'll be checking them out in the future for sure.
