Castle Doctrine

Texas has just joined the list of states that have passed the Castle Doctrine law!  Today Gov Perry signed the bill into law to take effect September 1st.  Now there's one more bill to watch concerning employees right to carry a handgun locked in their car in a company's parking lot without fear of punishment.

Bloomberg would rather employ the "Broadway Doctrine" where armed criminals are free to attack and slaughter defenseless home dwellers who are forced to rely on a 45 minute 911 call..........afterall "criminals have rights too".......The man is a disgrace and should be arrested by the ATF for what he has done in Virginia.  It was clearly illegal to falsify records when purchasing firearms and any other person attempting this federal crime would be in prison by now.  But a visible, big city mayor with a political agenda?.......please sir, go right ahead.  Hopefully, the current ATF investigation will have some consequences for "his Honor".

So where exactly is the 14th Amendment here? Why in NY or PA or Chicago am I denied the same right that exists in other states? I would think (I am not a lawyer but I have played doctor with a neighbor's daughter) but I would think this would be an excellent approach to reversing these criminally anti-gun laws.

Any thoughts? About the gun rights, not the neighbor's daughter. . . .

I agree.  New York State actually has rulings entered in case law which states that the Second Amendment is not recognized. I learned this initially during my CCW training course and couldn't believe what I was hearing.  I was advised that if I were to be called by a judge for an interview for my CCW, that the last thing I wanted to do was quote the Second Amendment as the judge would just laugh and advise you that it is non-applicable in the State of New York.  I'm still at a loss to understand how they are permitted to pull off this atrocity, but there it is.
