Back in my just graduated, trailer park days I had 5 firearms. A Colt 1911 45ACP in the Jeep,a S&W mod 27 357 mag in the bedroom, a PPK/S in my pocket, a Rem 1100 12Ga (unloaded) & a Rem nylon 66 Apache (loaded w/empty chamber). The county sheriff was a family friend & I was a bonded deputy sheriff (this was before CCW times). When I was asked why not the 1100 instead of the 66 my response was (1) short,5lbs VS long,8lbs in a trailer (2) 11 shots VS 3 (I downloaded the 66 & kept the plug in the 1100) (3) ever shoot anything inside anything w/out plugs &/or muffs (4) hold the end of the vent-ribbed 1100 bbl VS the shark-finned front sight 66 bbl & let me yank. Not everybody agreed but NOBODY offered to take the hearing or yank tests. See MB great minds think alike!! But when I come to think about it so do warped minds!! YMMV but it worked out OK for me.
