was an eye opener! We qualified pistol a few weeks back. A) One of them would have been better off with a spiked club. B) Most of then should PRACTICE a bit more. Ok, a LOT more! lmao!
After qual, the instructor set up three bg targets at various distances, furthest away had a 'hostage" representing your partner. You got ten rounds, pick and chose who and and explain why. Long story short, I go near the end and when the instructor walks me through the results, I see a bunch of holes in the hostage. Nice! "Who did that?", I asked. "Your Thursday partner.", was the reply. I say nothing until Monday morning when he asks why I'm taking Thursday off this week (it was planned before the training). "Why??", I said with a tight glare and a huge smile, "YOU SHOT ME THREE TIMES IN THE CHEST SATURDAY, YOU BASTICHE!"
He cracked up and said, "I was hoping you didn't see that." We both laughed for a bit and then went about our work. But that Thursday I took off, I did make it a point to visit my local police supplier and buy a 5"x8" IMPAC s.t. trauma plate. He gets the bill as soon as he gets back from vacation.
