yeah....they are building the case for the American KGB.

I actually agree with many of the statements made in the article. Face facts, the Ft Hood shooter, The London, Bali, and Madrid bombers, all of these examples were natives or residents of the countries in which they acted.
The question becomes, how will the Govt. react. Based on past performance they will take half assed measures that will be more hindrance to law abiding citizens than to the terrorists they are , allegedly, meant to stop.

After the commercial just wondering

20,000 troops isn't crap. that is equivalent to about 1/2 the understaffed Police force of just NYC.
On the other hand it sets a precedent open to abuse, like the NFA.

I agree with them also...and with your take on how it will be implemented.

"Never let a good crisis go to waste"

And 20,000 troops is about the size of an Army Division.   Not a bad start.

I was in a classroom with 14 other people when 9/11 happened, and we watched the whole thing on a projection tv (90" screen).  Everyone agreed "That plane doesn't have any windows.  It's not commercial."  We watched it again and again and still everyone agreed.  "That's NOT a commercial plane like their saying!".  Then came the video of the cruise missile hitting the pentagon.  That changed to video of a plane later!

9/11 - A product of OUR government, and an example of how far they will go for the excuse to police you like the inmate you now are.

Problem I  have with that, BM, is that if the government produced 9/11 they would have had the proper videos ready from the get go.

I can't believe they decided to do it over coffee that morning and put out incriminating videos until they could get the doctored ones ready.    Or are you saying they managed to get every "non official" video taken of the events and doctored them all?

Why else lie about it though?  We all knew what we saw that day.

Why else lie about it though?  We all knew what we saw that day.

Couple of points.

So you are saying that the government crashed some type of aircraft or missile into the trade centers and pentagon and then shot down or destroyed the commercial planes said to be involved?  And for good measure, they falsified all the phone conversations between the plane that went down in PA and crashed it just for good cover?

If you want to build a case where the government worked with and facilitated the terrorists, other than by incompetence, to fly the commercial jets that were lost into the buildings, you might  have a reasonable scenario.

I've not seen any video of a cruise missile hitting the Pentagon, but, somehow, I think that video would be easier to fake than the disappearance of the passenger planes involved.

And you stated you watched the video on a very large screen TV.

Those videos were not top quality videos and were taken with what ever camera was available.  Resolution was not DVD quality.

A low resolution image projected on a very large screen will lose much detail with the visual cues being too dispersed to trigger recognition.  What might appear as windows on a smaller screen might appear as discolorations of the fuselage on a large screen projection of the same image.

I, and everyone else there agreed on two things.

1.  We saw a plane with no windows fly into the building.

2.  We saw the same video miraculously change from showing what "looked like" a cruise missile, into what was obviously a plane with huge wings going into the pentagon.

I've been a "Northwest Gold" member for over 8 years.  NEVER seen a commercial plane yet that didn't have windows...  :-\

Again, if our government wasn't involved.  Why lie? All I'm saying.

I'm not saying you didn't see what you think you saw, but I still think this whole "Govt conspiracy" thing is a load of crap.
If for no other reason than the sheer complexity of the operation.
Even as a terrorist plot only 19 of 20 participants managed to make their appointed connections, that's a 5% failure rate. Out of 4 planes, only 3 managed to engage their targets, that's a 25% failure rate. That assumes a terrorist operation, these people are not stupid, attention grabbing, mass casualty attacks are what they do, what they train for. And the idea of using manned aircraft as missiles dates back to at least the 1940's.
Things like using a cruise missile, then faking video of an air craft adds levels of complexity that guarantee failure, and take the operation out of the realm of believability.
My own belief is that you have watched a couple to many episodes of "X Files", or "Mission Impossible".
