Jeep parade

Hi;

     This week on American Pickers a woman sold a '46 Jeep restored by Richard Petty for $16,000. There was talk of the Military downsizing the Humvee and the rumor was that it would be like the Jeep X   series vehicle. I had a Jeep assigned to me as a Radio operator and LOVED that Jeep. I wish that they would bring back a version of the original size/design of the 40's and 50's. Something of a "Plain Jane". These newer ones are outfitted too much for me.

Update:  This morning's paper said there were 1300 Jeeps in the parade.

Seems like Wranglers grow and get heavier every single year.    They still sell, so apparently it's what the mass herds want. 

Even if they brought back something M38 sized, it'd be so loaded down with computers and air bags to meet government regulations it'd still be a POS.
